The Buffalo Chapter of the IIBA wants to help you succeed in your BA career!

IIBA® was formed in October 2003 and is the independent non-profit professional association serving the growing field of business analysis. If you are responsible for requirements management, systems analysis, business analysis, requirements analysis, project management or consulting, or if you are involved in analysis for systems, business or process improvements, IIBA can help you perform your job better!

There are several open VP positions at this time as we re-structure the Buffalo Chapter. Please contact Jim Coombs if you are interested in being engaged in your community, earning PDUs to keep your certification up-to-date, and to be a part of something exciting and rewarding!

Jim Coombs - President


Jim has been involved with analysis, project management, and consulting for over 20 years.  He has a broad view of business analysis from having served in various business lines, project and information technology teams.

He has a passion for supporting business analysis in the local community as well as introducing people to the profession who might otherwise be unaware of the exciting career opportunities available.

Jim relocated to Buffalo from Maine and takes a great interest in both Buffalo’s history and its resurgence by actively researching, networking and volunteering with local organizations.  He shares this passion to get to know the greater Buffalo region and the people with his wife and two children.

  • Manage member recruitment events
  • Maintain a current Chapter membership list
  • Manage application forms and payments to the chapter
  • Present membership status and trends
  • Member surveys
  • Manage a retention program
  • Manage new member packet to new members
